Major role in civil disobedience movement
Gandhiji launched the civil disobedience movement with the Dandi salt march of 1930. The Indians defied the British by refusing to pay taxes and boycotting all British goods. Women became mass participants in this Dandi march. They protested against unjust rules and policies of the British.
